this is what happens when you forget a camera. and go to temple square. with your touch screen phone.

nonetheless we finally got a picture where you could see both of our faces and both of our eyes were open. what a miracle.

we had so much fun seeing the lights kind of last minute on sunday- and mike pulled through with some slc secrets when he showed us the paper sacks with holiday messages from different countries.

he had me quiz him on all the laotian.

and he quizzed me on all the english.

my nearly perfect score gave me all the confidence in the world to finish up my classes and begin celebrating christmas next week in florida with all my babies!!

b and linds officially tied the knot!

it was so much fun to spend all day celebrating with such wonderful friends and family!

we are so blessed.

everything was beautiful and i was on cloud 9 the entire time.

amber flew into town which made it even better.

[that, and 13 dozen left over cookies]

after the wedding we didn't waste much time before decking the halls.

mike was a trooper and helped 24/7 which made it the perfect weekend!

ps. sunday we got to see river&saylor and mya&beckham in their primary programs and it was the cutest/sweetest/best thing i've ever seen! my favorite was the little boy who picked his nose during his one-liner at the mic.

filled with glittering pumpkins and ruining ghost sugar cookies, we had a very successful halloween weekend!

he'll tell you it was a drag not dressing up for halloween, but guess what?

taking a study break to skype with my boy while he passed out candy at his parents house was a perfect way for me to celebrate!

to top it off, i came home from taking a test on tuesday to find out mike was in Logan! i was so surprised and we had so much fun.. he comes back up tomorrow and im already counting down!

recently, dear anniewhoo enlightened me with the greatest discovery ever.

fork+oreo=heaven.

directions: push your fork through the oreo cream. dip into milk. then bite. then cry of joy.

seeing that i am in college and refuse to eat anything that asks for more than five steps before it's in my mouth, this makes for the best dessert/dinner/breakfast/lunch/brunch/4am snack.

mya kate turns 6 today.

6 years ago this little princess came into this world with her little red hair and changed the robinsons forever.

mya kate is such an amazing girl. her beautiful red hair and her smarts are hard to forget. i remember after she was born and was wisked away to north carolina, we got to hear so many sweet stories on the phone. i remember when we visited chapel hill and i couldn't believe i was finally an aunt!

with two younger siblings, i've seen what an amazing sister mya is. how she's always trying to make mojo laugh and will go run around outside with beckham anytime he asks. she's such a great helper, and the most determined little girl i know.

mya kate is growing up too fast, but she's turning into such a fighter and i love that about her. it was the absolute best thing when her family moved back to utah, and i love that i get to see so much more of her now.

i can't believe he's turning five tomorrow.

time is moving way too fast.

i still remember missing rivers first birthday on my trip to europe with the utah ambassadors. i remember calling home during the party as someone held the phone up to his ear and i wished him a happy day and told him i loved him.

i distinctly remember sobbing my eyes out after hanging up the phone. it broke my heart to be missing the balloons and cake and presents-all in honor of my favorite little boy. it broke my heart to think he wouldn't know i wanted to be there more than anything.

over the past five years i've had to miss many of those birthdays. a summer in utah hasn't happened for quite some time. but i've realized more and more that my favorite part about leaving is coming back in august and catching up with my river dude and re-learning his favorite shows and snacks. we usually get to pick up right where we left off... with scooby doo and m&m's.

my friends always joke that the only way a boy has a chance dating me is to win over river dude- and thats the absolute truth.

i love my little five-year old river dude more than the whole sky.

i've spent the last week bunking it up with amborambo in her apartment in new york. i'm so amazed by my sister and how well she knows the city after being here only a short while! her roommate is so much fun and her apartment is really really cute! i think she's going to have such a fun year filled with roof parties and strolls in central park- what most people could only dream of!

over the last week i've learned a few important things:

1. dont always assume the worst when you see bones on the sidewalk in harlem. they're just from the fried chicken store next door.

2. i have a weird smile in every picture taken. possibly just in everyday life too?

3. shopping day's are only momentarily interrupted with throwing up from food poisoning in the chipotle bathroom.

4. facetime is more fun when you're pulling faces and the nieces and nephews get to kiss you goodnight.

5. i miss pomegranate frozen yogurt more than diet coke and possibly my wardrobe.

6. i can't take pictures of people. of buildings. of flowers. of cute children. of anything really.

7. amber makes me laugh harder than anyone else- always at the worst times.

i hate the eye doctor.
there's nothing i do worse than make time for the eye doctor [which is a problem since i'm blind without these little babies]
buttttt i called the office this morning. ordered a 6-month supply and picked them up on my way home from work.
ideal, right?!!!
i swear it usually takes a 4 hour appt. where everything is blurry and they shine ever color of the rainbow at my face, making my mascara run all afternoon. [which is kind of okay, since everyone else in there is 95 with cataracts]

but then they have to order the contacts, which usually take 17 years, and by then i've been stuck with glasses on my face since the time i went swimming a lost my left one...

every time i leave the office, i swear i'm going to make a quick stop to get lasik on the way home...

but not this time.
this time it was just a phone call and a 5 minute drive away.
i might just love the eye doctor now.
but probably not.

i finished my last college finals on wednesday.

what a day.

after spending the afternoon at yogurtland and shopping at nordstrom with my two best friends [jake and jess] i went to my parents house to figure out what dress i was going to wear for graduation.

there were lots of balloons on our porch, and cars everywhere-i rolled my eyes, convinced my mom over-did it with young women's again...

little did i know all of my best friends and family had taken time out of their busy schedules to help celebrate my graduation and birthday!

and my sneaky sister (who i had g.chatted with that morning telling me she was working on a paper and was actually IN orem, IN my parents house) surprised me by flying in from DC!

yesterday i was telling stories of my dad.
how he always writes in a journal,
how he always knows the weather.
how most of what he writes in his journal is the weather.

my dad was my alarm clock every day growing up. i remember in high school when i'd have to get up at 5 for cheer, he was my only chance at making it on time. i remember whenever he was gone when i went to bed, i would put a little index card on his pillow telling him what time i needed to be up.
he was my personal wake up call.

i remember when he would drive me to violin before the sun was up and we would memorize all of the creedence clearwater revival songs. i remember when he took us to their concert and it was pouring rain, but we covered up in trash bags and sang along anyways. and i remember when he danced on the front row at the backstreet boys concert.

i remember walking on his back every night. i remember watching him take care of his parents. i remember all his jokes. i remember daddy's eggs, daddy's salsa, and daddy's garden. i remember europe, thailand, japan, costa rica, hawaii, and everywhere else. i remember seeing him at all my dance recitals, violin concerts, cheer competitions, and school assemblies. i remember watching him with his patients, watching him at church, watching him do the dishes, and watching him with all the robinson babies.

i remember all the big things (and there have been millions)
but i also remember all the small things.

my dad is my best friend and always will be.
i love him more than anything because i know he loves me more than anything.
he's turning 60 next week, and i can honestly say
i do not know any one else in the world as selfless, as caring, and as amazing as my dad.

this little gem came out on dvd today.
lucky for me, i got to see it in the theaters with my grandpa over thanksgiving.
usually he's not up for animated shows, but he certainly liked it more than the incredibles.

today i found out the cousin is coming home early from his mission in japan to make room for the displaced missionaries. i cannot even believe how excited i am.
[not about the displaced missionaries... about seeing the cousin, just to clarify]

i want to welcome him home with balloons and a giant sign, and a plethora of zoo animals or small children to help ring in the excitement.

i feel like i'm floating on clouds today with this amazing news.
and to top it off i finally finished my mba application.
all 49 steps, done and done.

i swear even the history test i have to take today and havent studied for can't bring me down.
