dreadlock

this morning we woke up in bath and headed to glastonbury. in the town is an abbey where king arthur is believed to be buried. it was absolutely incredible. i could not believe the size it had to have been. its remains were massive, and to imagine what the entire abbey would have looked like is just incredible.. i loved this site. and our tour guide was amazing, so he made it really fun.

we also hiked up to the glastonbury tor. from the top we had an incredible view of the town, and it was a blast.

we quickly boarded the bus and drove to wells. despite my previous blog post, I, along with EVERYONE in the center was under the impression we were going to Wales. but no.. wells. much different. we visited the wells cathedral, which is basically only famous because its gorgeous- and its true. it is.

we spent the evening in ilfracombe. a complete hippie town. it's on the atlantic ocean coast and has some of the prettiest views i've ever seen. me and some of the girls hiked up a hill to look over the ocean- we were so lucky it was sunny! we sat and talked while soaking up the warm weather and i dont think i've ever laughed harder in my life. the boys were ridiculously daring and got all the way into the freezing cold water!! naturally, us smarter girls stayed on the cliffs and took cute pictures.

we're staying at the ocean backpackers hostel. its the greatest thing ever. it looks like a crazy cool beach house and our "inn-keeper" has dreadlocks to his ankles. kind of ridiculous, but kind of amazing. it's a really quirky town, and it feels more like california than it does england, but we're loving it and having a blast. we all got together to watch a movie in one of the "family rooms" not one of the couches match each other, but there is an xbox- so what more could we want?
