my twizzle is poppin

today was another perfect day. i woke up much too early after a late night of homework and being distracted on facebook. a bunch of the center decided to spend our saturday morning at portobello market! portobello market is a vintage/antiques market right in chelsea that is put on every saturday. we're so lucky that our flat in notting hill is walking distance to this amazing place! despite the extremely cold weather we decided to muster it, and i'm SO glad we did. it was a total blast. they had everything from antique jewelry to dishware, clothes, records, bags, cameras... basically whatever you could think of. we stayed all morning and browsed a million shops. i gained a completely new appreciation for antiques. what an amazing thing they are. i bought a cake stand from the late 1800's that i'm quite excited about. i also looked at about 30 emerald rings trying to find the perfect one. i left empty-handed, but i will be returning in search of my emerald.
this is us with crepes we bought at the market [this is also just minutes before it ended up dripping all over my entire skirt and turning me into a chocolate mess... NOT cool nutella]

after the market we were all cooped up inside with the terrible weather and busy studying away. we have class on monday and are all working hard to get everything done before then.

this evening katelin-jane and i met up with rupert's friend emma rose. she is about the most adorable thing in the world. she grew up in northern england and is now working here in central london. i met here when i went to ruperts home for dinner last week and she took us out tonight. we met up in south kensington [the tube lines were closed so katelin and i ventured on the bus, it was quite an adventure but we did very well!] and went to dinner at hache on fulham road. it was a burger place and it was divine!! the other girls got chicken, but in honor of my sister amber [who always craves red meat when we're on vacation] i got a traditional burger. it was so delicious and i've never been more full in my life. we got french fries, or "chips" as emma calls them, a side of pickles, and a parmesan and spinach salad... delicious! after dinner we went to the cinema on the same road. i felt like i was 5 years old again. they had what they call "pick and mix" its where there are tubs of candy you choose and put into your own little baggy. absolutely adorable. we were going around trying them all, and stuffing our faces! we tried 500 new british "sweets" and are most likely going to be sick for days, but hey- it was SO worth it.

[this was our favorite candy we tagged twizzle]

Funny you mention red meat....

My iron has been especially low lately, and I yet again keep needing red meat!

I guess it's not really a bad thing to "need" to eat a burger!

Do they have an emerald and gold ring for me too?! size 7ish...

Love you.
